Another fresh new year is here …Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!
This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest …
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!
I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,And sing more joyful songs!

"The most effective way to do it, is to do it."

Aerial photograph in Mexico City, upon Amelia Earhart's arrival in 1935.

"No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed. A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees. The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves."

What a date !

I would love to have a date like this!

I think it's time for me to declare my love and appreciation for the Kingdom of Denmark. I've been interested in everything related to this green country for a while.

I'm extremely happy to know that there are places where they are actually worried and taking actions for the sake of the environment. So, here's an organized mess by Julochka.

Lovely lovely Denmark......

Could someone take me there, please?

I bought this book at Borders for only $ 1.75, but that's not the surprising part of it. The pop-up landscapes let my mind swim and imagine the colors of each one of them. Along with the poetry, it seems that David Pelham is describing how life goes by.

We don't know, but it was awesome to see something like this. Saw it appear and disappear.

Quick Trip

A very quick trip to Phoenix,Arizona, whose return I'll never forget.Extremely hot, learned what should be never forgotten, never miss the details.I have to look closer, to appreciate the differences.

Fusion Mexicana

Just got here from a downtown trip.Exactly to Bazar Fusión, were Mexican designers and artisans are mixed together to share what they can do.

There I met Monica Galera, whose creations are colorful and entirely inspiring!

If you have the chance to come to Mexico's City, you should check the dates for Bazar Fusión.

I'm so PROUD to be part of all this creativity we Mexicans have!

Ok. I didn't believe in any of those pages (Hi5, Facebook,Twitter, etc.),.............
Here's the story on how I changed my mind:
My mom got an invitation from my aunt "Mariana" to be part of Facebook and I suppose, that way share some photos. But days before, my mom was asking all the time about how those pages work. I only knew you could upload photos, get in touch with -friends- and make some comments. So I told her : "You know what !! I'm doing you a Facebook!" ( I said to myself: "Yeah, it should be easy to make a new account and to understand how it works." )
But neither of us expected to find an old friend.......
We met Jen in Toronto. I was 12, and I'm sad to confess that I don't remember much. But I do remember about her! She invited us to see a Shakespeare play outdoors. I remember I wrote her a note, she gave me art material (to make a bracelet) and that she lived and worked in Loretto. The thing I remember the most, is that she was always helping us,like with an address, phone calls, how to get somewhere..... and that she was a really nice person. Later, she send us a postcard from Australia. Sadly, we got it on rain season, so we couldn't read any of what she had written, only our address. We did a research through the internet, but apparently we are not good seekers. Looking our trip stuff, I managed to read her address and we send her a Mexican postcard. And here's were the amazing thing happend.
I created my mom's Facebook and suddenly the page announce that a girl named Jen had my mom as a friend!!! We were like: "Is it the same Jen ???, could it be??"So we double clicked and...... there she was!
Really, I can't believe it! I like to think that it was meant to be like that.I'm really glad we had the chance to get in touch with her again. :)
I have this theory, my mom had that same email back in 2002, and Jen still had it. With time, mom just forgot about that mail. And now with me, posting and following great things, she made it again.
Then I created my Facebook.

I wondered what would be the worth of my words in the world
if i write them and then recite them are they worth being heard
just because i like them does that mean i should mic them
and see what might unfurl
i think of the significance of my opinions here
is it significant to be giving them does anybody care
just because i'm into this does that mean i should live like it
and really do i dare
art, art i want you
art you make it pretty hard not too
and my heart is trying hard here to follow you
but i can't always tell if i ought to
so i pondered the point of my art in this life
if i make it will someone take it and think it's genuine
will they be glad that i did 'cause they got something good out of it
will they leave me and be any more inspired
i question the outcome of the outpouring of myself
if i tell everyone my stories will this keep me healthy and well
will it give me purpose, to this world some sort of service
is it worth it, how can i tell
art, art...

Sock Monster

All the way from Germany, here you have artist Bine Brändle . She studied art and gave birth to FLUSI, the Sock Monster.
I met Flusi ----> I fell in love with him. I found him printed with a "big warm smile" on the cover of a Ravensburger board game. I don't read, speak or understand German, so I didn't know how to play it. :(

Ok, her official page.......... it's in German! but I think she remodeled this place, her house??

Well........ just check this:

*Align Center
Isn't this amazing??
I love when pretty things get on my way. When I least expect them. They arrive to make me happy, to inspire me, to discover new horizons, unimaginable colors, creative ideas..... I love, love, love the socks!

Ahh, I love this place. I used to go a lot when I was like 8 or 9 ( I'm the little one with the white t-shirt and jeans ,probably on 1998). Tequisquiapan is a "pueblito" in Quéretaro, about 2 or 3 hrs. from El D.F., near there's La Peña de Bernal. Here you can shop "artesanias", have a promenade in the main square, enjoy good restaurants, etc, etc, etc.Hope I'll get a chance to go soon.
